Release Asset Potential

Releasing property equity is becoming a realistic option in the commercial and industrial environment with a new initiative.

Willan Developments, one of the region’s most progressive, independent property developers, has devised the package to enable local businesses that own their land and buildings to optimise capital and income- or boost pension funds.

Under the package, surplus land can be redeployed, old buildings refurbished, existing buildings remodelled to accommodate changing requirements, or the property sold and leased back to release capital for investment in the business or pension scheme.

The concept is already proven, with Brooklands Business Centre in Derbyshire, where the landowner sold redundant units to Willan, thereby receiving an injection of capital and freeing of an asset that was costing him time and money to manage and maintain. Willan has remodelled and upgraded the 20,000 sq ft site to provide modern self-contained workshop and storage units.
